Rochester Beacon Academy is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Part-Time School Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for our students and staff. Essential Responsibilities Clean classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust throughout the building. Empty trash and recycling containers. Clean and sanitize restrooms. Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies. Set up and take down tables and chairs for meetings and school events. Assist with seasonal cleaning projects, including floor care and window cleaning. Monitor the building for maintenance or safety concerns and report issues promptly. Help maintain the exterior of the building, including entrances and sidewalks as needed. Follow all safety procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals. Perform other custodial duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
