July 20, 2026 Willmar Public Schools is currently seeking applicants for the position of Middle School Head Speech Coach. A Head Middle School Speech Coach provides leadership, instruction, and mentorship while developing students'' speaking, interpretation, and presentation skills across multiple speech events. Position Head Coach Athletic or Activity Middle School Speech Rate of Pay $3,434 stipend for the Season Hours Per Day Variable Schedule (Approximately) Practice starts in the middle of November, and continues into February. The team practices at Willmar Middle School and Willmar High School, Monday through Friday from 3:00-4:30 PM. The team will host 1 weekend tournament, 1 weeknight tournament, and will travel to 5 weekend tournaments. On weekend tournament days, coaches are potentially responsible for students between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM depending on the location of the competition and a variety of other factors. On Weeknight tournaments, coaches are potentially responsible for students from 3:00-8:00 PM. Working Days per Year Seasonal - 2026-2027 Winter Activity Season Benefits Benefits for this position are limited due to the limited and variable nature of the role.
