EVENING CLEANER
Reports to: Head Custodian
Department: Custodial
Works with: Teachers, students, parents
Job Summary: The cleaner performs general cleaning to provide pleasant surrounds for staff and students.
Monday through Friday, 5 hours per night after 3 PM, flexible start time.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Cleans assigned area.
- Floors-vacuums, mops, and scrubs.
- Bathrooms-clean and scrub daily.
- Walls and Boards-Clean and scrub as needed.
- Clean Desks and Furniture.
- Windows Exterior-Room and Building exterior, clean as needed.
- Empty garbage.
- Assists parents and other visitors to school buildings with special events and programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with school personnel, students, parents and members of the community.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
Physical Job Requirements:
- Employee is continuously required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel, talk, and hear; frequently sits, stoops, kneels and/or crouches, reach with hands and arms in the performance of the job. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally; and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $18.23 to $21.84 depending on experience. Extra compensation for education and certification pay available. Additional benefits available include sick leave, personal leave, holiday pay.
