COACHES AND ADVISORS NEEDED IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: SPORTS: girls volleyball, boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball, track and field and girls soccer CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES: mock trial, model United Nations, Knowledge/Quiz Bowl, yearbook, Student Senate, debate, speech, theater and robotics Great Oaks Academy is seeking highly qualified candidates to serve as a coach or advisor in our quickly growing activities programming the areas listed. Candidates are desired to have successful advising or coaching experience in their area or discipline. disciplines, and/or related successful experiences in educational leadership. Candidates should have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the programs and the local community. These positions report to the Activities Director, who will provide overall job objectives and observe performance. This advisor will coach, coordinate, and support the students for the varsity team and provide guidance and support to the lower level team, according to expectations of the Activities Director. This advisor or coach is expected to coordinate the instruction, training, and development of all participants and other advisors at this level in the listed activities; model a transformational, purpose-driven philosophy; represent a holistic definition of success; commit to personal development and collaboration; display a values-based approach as an advisor who develops people first. Coaches the participant first, and then the skill; coaches for the students before themselves; makes a lasting, positive impact on the school community; has meaningful, rewarding personal leadership experiences. We believe that great stories are powerful teaching tools, that studying history chronologically can inspire wonder and lead to virtue, and that rigor means appropriate challenges for each student. Great Oaks Academy opened in the fall of 2020 and currently serves nearly 700 students from Kindergarten to 9th grade between two campuses in Farmington and Eagan. We will be adding a 10th grade in 2026-2027. We will add a grade each year until we are a full K-12 Academy.
