WHAT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS DO: Provide direct, indirect and consultative occupational therapy services to students grade 7-12 based on IEP needs. Assess students and develop appropriate OT goals, interventions, and recommendations. Collaborate with teachers, families, related service providers, and other members of the educational team. Support students in developing functional skills related to fine motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, and participation in the school environment. Complete required documentation, progress monitoring, and IEP-related responsibilities. Create and implement universal design to promote student participation and success across school settings.
