Start Your Online Application Now Position : Gymnastics Coordinator/Coach Start Date: Description/Requirements: Rockford Area Schools Community Education is currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Gymnastics Coordinator/Coach to lead and coach the Rockford Rocket Gymnastics Club. This position will oversee the development and coordination of both our recreational gymnastics program and competitive gymnastics teams , while also providing hands-on coaching and instruction. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with gymnastics experience who enjoys working with athletes of all ages and abilities and is interested in helping grow and develop a successful community gymnastics program. The coordinator will work closely with Community Education to plan and organize programming, develop class and team schedules, support coaches, communicate with families, and ensure a positive and safe experience for all participants. Responsibilities Include: Coordinate and oversee the Rockford Rocket Gymnastics Club, including recreational and competitive programming. Develop and organize gymnastics classes, practices, team training, and other program offerings. Coach and provide instruction to gymnasts at various ages and skill levels. Assist with recruiting, training, and supporting gymnastics coaches and instructors. Develop appropriate skill progressions and training plans for recreational and competitive athletes. Communicate effectively with athletes and families regarding schedules, expectations, progress, and program information. Help coordinate competitive team activities, including meets, registration, and communication with families and coaches. Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive gymnastics environment. Help manage equipment, facility needs, and day-to-day operations of the gymnastics program. Work with Community Education staff on registration, scheduling, program development, and overall program needs. Promote and help grow the gymnastics program within the community. Perform other duties related to the operation and success of the gymnastics program. Qualifications: Previous gymnastics coaching and/or competitive gymnastics experience required. Experience working with recreational and/or competitive gymnastics programs preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively with children, families, coaches, and Community Education staff. First Aid/CPR certification preferred. MSHSL coaching eligibility and/or USA Gymnastics coaching certification preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including daytime, evening, and weekend hours as program needs require.
