Assistant Varsity and Head Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Coach Hancock Public School (ISD 768) is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Varsity and Head Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Coach for the upcoming winter season (November through March). We want a leader who champions our core values of perseverance, integrity, selflessness, and sportsmanship. Position Overview Job Title: Assistant Varsity and Head Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Coach Reports To: Head Girls Basketball Coach & Athletic Director Season: November through March (Daily afternoon/evening practices and weekly games) Key Responsibilities Lead the JV Program: Manage JV game-day operations, lineups, and strategies while running a unified system with Varsity. Develop Players: Assist the Head Coach with varsity practices and build basketball IQ and fundamentals across all levels. Model School Values: Instill perseverance, integrity, selflessness, and sportsmanship in female student-athletes. Ensure Safety & Accountability: Track student academic eligibility, supervise travel, and adhere to all MSHSL rules. Requirements & Qualifications High school, club, or collegiate basketball coaching or playing experience. Alignment with the mission of a close-knit community school. Ability to pass a district background check and fingerprinting. Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification and completion of MSHSL coaching modules (or willingness to obtain before November).
