Middle School Basketball Coaches (boys and girls) QUALIFICATIONS: - Proven knowledge and experience necessary to coach the activity - Good communication skills ? Weekly emails to families required - Demonstrated organizational skills - Head coaching license/certificate or meet the MSHSL requirements to be a head coach PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: - Demonstrated ability to organize and supervise a total program K-12 - Previous head coaching experience and substantial knowledge base in assigned activity - Proven ability to work with middle school & high school aged students modeling positive character and responsible behavior - Commitment to continuous improvement - Fundraising and/or public speaking - Confidence teaching the assigned activity POSITION SUMMARY: To direct, support and fully implement the assigned High School Activity Program with an education-based philosophy of teaching and coaching. Instruct all participants in the fundamental skills and strategies of the activity for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. Season runs November-March with camp and clinic opportunities in other seasons. Stipend available.
