Assistant Varsity/Head JV Girls Basketball Coach
Holy Family Catholic High School, Victoria, MN

Purpose of Position: To provide guided and supervised opportunities for students to develop skills, confidence, and enhanced engagement in school in accordance with the school mission statement, philosophy and values.
Mission Expectations:
Be familiar with the Holy Family Catholic High School vision, mission, and goals.
Embrace our Catholic identity and our Lasallian charism.
Support and encourage the faith development of students and staff.
Develop positive relationships with students.
Develop positive relationships with families for the purpose of creating support for students and their growth.
Support the priority of academic responsibility that is integral to participation in activities.
Coach Competencies:
Demonstrate enthusiasm for the activity and be a model of leadership and support to students.
Understand and comply with policies and philosophies in the Activities Leaders handbook.
Demonstrate support of school discipline philosophies and policies.
Promote the school in a positive manner.
Employ clear, objective, and supportive tryout procedures.
Teach and motivate students with constructive criticism.
Create and implement appropriate learning opportunities with awareness of individual differences.
Uphold a positive learning environment.
Clearly communicate to students and parents what is expected.
Complete all required MSHSL Coaches Dashboard trainings, including team information pages.
Submit scores/results/awards to the appropriate people, including the Communications Manager.
Distribute and collect equipment and uniforms at the beginning and end of season.
Professional Responsibilities:
Be present where needed, when needed, and ready to work as needed.
Work collaboratively and collegially with the head coach and school staff.
Prepare an activity budget for review.
Initiate fundraising/fundraisers only with approval from the Advancement Office, including parent-initiated fundraisers.
Ensure students are supervised at all times, including while waiting for rides.
Employ the two-adult rule when working with minors.
As appropriate, provide opportunities for grade school children to engage in the activity.
Conduct all professional activities in accordance with school policies.
Dress, act, and speak professionally. Profanity is not acceptable.
Have Activities Director review all mass communication before sending.
Comply with all Holy Family Employee Handbook rules and standards.
