Start Your Online Application Now Job Title: Full-Time Head Custodian at Nerstrand Job Description: Faribault Public Schools is seeking a full-time Head Custodian for our Nerstrand location. The hours for this position are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will oversee the cleanliness and safety of the Nerstrand Location, leading a team of custodians and ensuring a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Essential Functions: Supervise and coordinate the activities of custodial staff. Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing all areas of the school. Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Assist with and supervise the setup and teardown for school events or activities as needed. Adhere to and enforce health and safety regulations and school policies. Secure the building at the end of the shift, ensuring all doors and windows are locked. The Head Custodian will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of our school environment and ensuring the smooth operation of the Nerstrand custodial team. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, reliable and able to perform physical tasks including (but not limited to) lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, standing for extended periods, strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards, good communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Licensure: 2nd Class C Boilers License or able to obtain, Valid MN drivers license.
