This role ensures alignment of academic and social-emotional-behavioral (SEB) support systems, facilitates professional development, and collaborates with administrators, educators, and support staff to enhance student success. QUALIFICATIONS: The MTSS Coordinator shall: 1. Hold a Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Education, School Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, or a related field. A Master&#8217;s degree is strongly preferred. 2. Hold a valid Tier 3 or Tier 4 MN Teaching License. A license as a PK-12 Principal, Special Education Director, or Superintendent is strongly preferred. 3. Have at least five years of experience in education programs, with a strong background in MTSS, Response to Intervention, or Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. 4. Have experience working with school-based MTSS teams. 5. Have experience in data analysis and the use of student performance metrics to drive decision-making. 6. Have strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. 7. Have knowledge of evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions. 8. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with others, including students, parents, and colleagues. 9. Demonstrate a strong moral character and impeccable work ethic. 10. Have experience with or show willingness and excitement in working with Native American children and families. 11. Integrate Ojibwe Language and Culture into the workplace. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The MTSS Coordinator will engage in the following essential duties. This list is illustrative of the types of work in which the coordinator will engage and is not exhaustive. District-Level Responsibilities: * Develop and oversee the implementation of the district&#8217;s MTSS framework, ensuring integration of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports. * Provide leadership in aligning MTSS with district goals, policies, and strategic planning efforts. * Facilitate data-driven decision-making by establishing and maintaining effective data collection, analysis, and reporting systems. * Support district-wide initiatives to enhance student outcomes, including interventions, professional learning, and resource allocation. * Serve as a liaison between schools, district leadership, and community stakeholders to ensure a cohesive MTSS approach. * Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement. * Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines related to MTSS implementation, intervention programs, and special education requirements. Building-Level Support Responsibilities: * Provide training, coaching, and technical assistance to school-based teams on MTSS implementation, data analysis, and intervention strategies. * Collaborate with principals, teachers, and support staff to integrate MTSS practices into daily instruction and school culture. * Assist schools in developing and sustaining tiered intervention systems that address academic and SEB needs. * Support educators in implementing evidence-based interventions and progress-monitoring practices. * Facilitate problem-solving and intervention team meetings to enhance student success. * Promote inclusive practices and equity within MTSS to ensure all students receive appropriate support. This position will require travel between schools within the district. Work is performed in both office and school settings with occasional evening meetings or professional development sessions. JOB PURPOSE:                               
The Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Coordinator provides district-level oversight and building-level support for implementing a comprehensive, data-driven MTSS framework.
