Approximate Start Date: 08/13/2025 Date Closing: Until Filled Position: Elementary Teachers (Grades 4 and 5) Description: Full-time 1.0 FTE Location: Midway Star Academy, Saint Paul, MN Rate of Pay: Per Master Agreement Licensure: MN K-6 Licensure Salary: Per MSA Salary Schedule Elementary Teacher&#8212;Midway Star Academy, Saint Paul Responsibilities: &#8226; Provide instruction in the core curriculum areas(s) for which employed; make appropriate use of instructional resources and technologies. &#8226; Implement the goals and objectives of the school and/or program for which it is employed. &#8226; Follow the prescribed course of study, except as authorized in the curriculum outlines or by the principal or other official rules and regulations. &#8226; Evaluate student performance according to the system used by the school and/or; promote student achievement; maintain required student records; make related reports to the principal as prescribed or authorized by the superintendent. &#8226; Maintain contact and communications with the parents of students and work with them in the development of each student. &#8226; Perform classroom management duties; enforce School rules governing the conduct of students; take appropriate disciplinary action with students who do not follow School rules. &#8226; Enforce School guidelines in regard to health and hygienic conditions and practices in the classroom as they may affect the physical and mental health of students. &#8226; Plan and facilitate an effective educational learning environment to meet the needs of a diverse community of learners. &#8226; Develop and maintain a program to meet the individual needs of each student in meeting the charter school's standards. &#8226; Maintain a safe positive learning environment. &#8226; Works as a collaborative staff member in planning instructional goals and objectives. &#8226; Teaches and models the charter school&#8217;s standards for ethical behavior in alignment with the School&#8217;s Strategic Plan. Qualifications: Minnesota elementary (K-6) teaching licensure is required. Preparation and commitment to working effectively with diverse communities of learners; skill in providing for the individual learning needs of students; ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment; skill in using positive, constructive disciplinary approaches; ability to organize and plan for student learning; familiarity with current teaching/ learning theories; skill in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Qualifications for and willingness to work with extracurricular activities. Compensation: Midway Star Academy's salary for this position is competitive and based on prior experience. Qualifications:
