MTCS Arts Experiences Coordinator & Studios Manager
Job Description
Program Development & Planning
* Collaborate with MTCS students and staff, artists, and community partners to co-create meaningful arts activities.
* Plan and coordinate arts-related events such as exhibitions, performances, guest artist visits, workshops and field trips.
* Manage logistics including venue setup, supplies, transportation, and technology needs.
* Identify and maintain relationships with local artists, arts organizations, and cultural institutions.
* Collaborate with school leadership to organize community showcases, exhibitions, or performances to highlight student work.
* Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications to showcase students’ experiences within the arts.
Support Teaching & Learning
* Collaborate with teachers across the district to utilize MTCS studio spaces as options for student engagement with content area assignments and assessments.
* Provide professional development or coaching to staff on using the arts as a teaching tool.
* Coordinate listening sessions, album release parties, or live tapings to celebrate creative work.
Administrative Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain an annual calendar of arts experiences.
* Manage budgets, contracts, and payments for arts experiences.
* Manage studio supply budgets (cables, mics, stands, software licenses, etc.).
* Keep track of inventory, repair needs, and replacements.
* Track participation, gather feedback, and report on program impact.
* Fundraise through events and grant opportunities.
Studio & Equipment Management, Scheduling & Operations
* Maintain and troubleshoot all audio and recording equipment.
* Oversee the setup, breakdown, and configuration of recording sessions.
* Ensure spaces (podcast room, music rooms, studio area) are safe, organized, and tech-ready.
* Mentor interested students and staff in learning all of the above.
* Coordinate studio bookings for student, faculty, or client use — including recording sessions, and production meetings.
* Create and manage calendars for equipment checkout, room use, and special events.
Exempt Position is 196 days (86 school days and 10 summer days)
* Salary $50,000-90,000 DOQ
Miscellaneous:
* Reimbursement for mileage of personal vehicle will be reimbursed at the current IRS mileage rate with proper tracking data
