Loyola Catholic School in Mankato, MN is seeking a full-time Student Support Services Paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. This role supports the academic, behavioral, and emotional growth of students in Preschool through 12th grade by assisting teachers and support staff in delivering services tailored to individual student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing accommodations, modifications, and individualized supports as outlined in student support or learning plans.
Work one-on-one or in small groups with students under the direction of
the Student Support Services Coordinator.Support students in general education classrooms to promote inclusive practices.
Assist with academic tasks, organization, transitions, and social-emotional regulation.
Collect observational data and provide feedback to teachers and specialists.
Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and student support staff to help meet students’ academic and behavioral goals.
Supervise students during non-instructional times such as lunch, recess, and passing periods as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all student-related matters.
Participate in meetings and training as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with children or young adults in an educational or support role.
Understanding of child development and behavior management strategies.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing disposition.
Willingness to work with students across multiple grade levels.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Postsecondary coursework in education, child development, psychology, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a student support role is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Position may require lifting, standing for extended periods, or supporting students with physical needs.
Schedule aligned with the academic calendar.
