Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to serve as a Long Term Substitute for 6th Grade at the ACGC 5-12 Building starting mid-March and running until the end of the year (May 21). This position is designed for a licensed educator who can effectively manage a classroom environment and deliver engaging lessons in alignment with the curriculum. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive learning atmosphere and ensure continuity in the educational experience for students during the absence of the regular teacher.

Responsibilities
- Deliver daily lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular teacher.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Maintain classroom management and discipline in accordance with school policies.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff regarding student performance and any concerns.
- Adapt instructional methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with other educators and support staff to enhance the educational experience.
- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
- Uphold the values and mission of the ACGC school community.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching license or certification for elementary/middle school education preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to varying classroom situations and student needs.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and resources.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage with families.
