Summary Upsala Area Schools is seeking a creative and tech-savvy professional for a dual-role position as Library/Media Specialist and District Communications Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. This individual will manage our K-12 media center resources while serving as the primary voice of the district by managing our digital presence and quarterly publications. Description Key Responsibilities Library & Media Management Digital Systems: Administrate the Renaissance (AR/Star) and Follett-Destiny systems , managing student data, grade levels, and troubleshooting. Collection Oversight: Research, order, and process new materials , perform inventory , and manage the library budget. Student Support: Supervise study halls and the computer lab , assisting students with research and device needs. Operations: Set up self-checkout stations and maintain the physical collection through weeding and repairs. District Communications Coordination Digital Presence: Update and create website pages using Thrillshare CMS and manage the home page gallery and news stories. Social Media: Create and approve social media posts via Thrillshare Live Feed to showcase school events. Newsletter Production: Design and produce quarterly district newsletters using Adobe InDesign. Public Relations: Solicit news from staff , manage mailing lists , and coordinate with local printers for publication distribution. Compensation & Benefits Salary/Wages: * Licensed Candidates: Salary as per the Master Agreement. Non-Licensed Candidates: $15.00 ? $25.00 per hour (dependent on qualifications). Qualifications Licensure: MN Dept. of Education Library Media Specialist license (or ability to obtain).
