The Licensed School Nurse plays a critical role in promoting student readiness to learn by addressing health needs, supporting chronic conditions, and partnering with families and staff. Start date is flexible and could begin with summer session if candidates were interested. This position is part of a collaborative student support team committed to ensuring all students are safe, healthy, and able to fully engage in school. Qualifications Current Minnesota Licensed School Nurse (LSN) credential required Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota Bachelor''s degree in nursing (BSN) required Prior successful experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing services to students, including assessment, care planning, and intervention Manage student health records in compliance with state and federal requirements Develop and implement Individual Health Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Care Plans Administer medications and oversee health office operations Support students with chronic health conditions and coordinate care with families and providers Serve as a resource to staff on student health needs and safety protocols Participate as a member of the student support team, including special education and 504 planning when applicable Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community Application Process Interested candidates should submit: Letter of interest Resume References Central Public Schools uses the applicant tracking system from Frontline Education to manage employment applications online
