Description: Modern Montessori Charter School is seeking a Facilities/Maintenance Specialist for the 2026-27 school year. Full or part-time positions available. The Facilities/Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for daily operations of the building and grounds to include maintenance and repair work to ensure a safe environment for students, staff and visitors. Candidates will effectively use observations and data regularly to assess building needs and plan accordingly. They will need the ability to follow oral or written work orders from the Operations Manager and Director. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, a self-starter, able to work independently, highly motivated, organized, optimistic, problem solver, adaptable, and communicate positively and effectively. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Ability to follow oral or written work orders and to coordinate work with Operations Manager, Director and others Ability to describe orally or in writing, cleaning, maintenance or repair problems as needed Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measurement Ability to work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain or snow Ability to to work above ground from ladders, etc. Ability to lift 50 pounds Physical and mental demands, work hazards First class boilers license or ability to get one preferred Ability to read, write and speak English fluently Application Procedure Please send resume, cover letter and list of three professional references to employment@mm-cs.org Subject Line: Facilities/Maintenance Specialist Application.
