Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate middle school math teacher to join our team at the Rockford Middle School - all appropriately licensed Math and Elementary Ed licensed teachers are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mathematics Education and/or Elementary Education, a commitment to student success, and the ability to create engaging and effective learning experiences for students. Demonstrated experience or strong interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and environmental education is advantageous. This position is primarily a 5th grade math teaching assignment, consisting of four sections of math. Depending on licensure and candidate strengths, the remaining section may include either social studies or an additional math course at the 5th or 6th grade level.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver math lessons that align with the middle school curriculum and standards
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported and valued
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with best practices in math education
Qualifications:
- Bachelor''s degree in Elementary and/or Mathematics Education
- MN teaching License required
- Experience teaching middle school math is preferred
- Strong knowledge of middle school math concepts and instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture

$47,399 - $97,149 dependent on qualifications

- Single Coverage - District pays $869 toward premium
- Family Coverage - District pays $1620 toward premium
- District contributes $1,000 into HSA - if enrolled in high deductible plan
Dental: Single coverage - District pays sum that covers premium for employee only
Life Insurance: District provides $60,000 of life insurance at no cost, employee may purchase supplemental life insurance
Long Term Disability: District provided at no cost to the employee
Flexible Spending Acct: Employees may elect to contribute on a pre-tax basis to Health Flexible Spending Accounts and Dependent Care Accounts
Retirement:
- The District contributes 9.81% of your total salary in the Teachers Retirement Association pension plan
- Employees may also elect to participate in Deferred Compensation Plan once continuing rights granted
