Start Your Online Application Now Date of Availability: 08/24/2026 K-5 Reading & Mathematics Intervention Paraprofessional Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:15a-2:45p Student contact days and professional development days- 165 days per year .8 FTE and hours will be adjusted accordingly with candidates $22.00-$25.00 per hour Position Summary: Work as part of the academic intervention team. Deliver small group interventions in reading and mathematics with students in Grades K-5. Work under the direction of the Title 1 and Intervention Teachers. Essential Duties: Assists and guides students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, social/emotional skills, organizational skills Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned programs. Assists in classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to individual student needs. Assists with record-keeping procedures to document student learning and performance. Collects data in a vareity of settings: classrooms, lunch, recess, transitions Assists with classroom behavioral management to minimize disruptions, ensure a safe and orderly classroom, and ensure students are on task. Accompanies students on field trips for the purpose of assisting with supervision. Constructs, copies and distribute and use educational materials as needed for special education teaching staff. Assists teacher with parent contact as requested to foster effective and participatory parent involvement in student education. Assists students with special needs in all aspects of classroom instruction to maximize inclusion, learning, achievement if IEP objectives, etc. Participates in IEP process and serves as resource for the student personnel evaluation team as needed. Assist students with physical or mental disabilities with activities of daily living for the purpose of maximizing their ability to participate in school or learning activities. Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students, including those with disabilities or other special needs. Qualifications Profile: Experience preferred but not required. Training in the science of reading preferred, but not required. Will train. High School Diploma Associate''s (or higher) degree or two years of higher eduation or completion of the ParaPro Exam.
