Position Overview: This position provides strategic department and program leadership to the school nutrition program through a systemic and integrated approach that supports operational excellence, compliance, innovation and staff development across all sites. Responsibilities include: - planning, development, and implementation of policies, procedures, and daily operations - leading managers in coaching, evaluating, developing, and retaining high-performing teams - maintaining appropriate staffing structures: and collaborating with administrators, principals, community partners, families, and students to improve meal programs and processes - ensuring nutrition service operations comply with Minnesota Department of Health and Minnesota Department of Education Standards - other specific tasks may include student-driven menu planning, food safety, procurement, financial and program management and accountability, personnel management, and any other related activities Qualifications/Licensing Requirements: The successful candidate must have education and experience in accordance with Minnesota Department of Education guidelines which include at lease one of the following: - Bachelor''s degree, or equivalent education experience, with an academic major in a specific area - Bachelor''s degree, or equivalent education experience, with an academic major in a specific area, and a SNA Level 4 Certification - Bachelor''s degree in any academic major and at least two years of relevant school nutrition experience - Associate''s degree, or equivalent educational experience, with an academic major in a specific area and at least two years of relevant school nutrition experience - High school diploma or GED and ten or more years of school nutrition program experience Additional demonstrated qualifications include a commitment to the equitable education of all students, exceptional planning and organizational skills, experience with management of personnel and highly effective interpersonal skills. Ability to successfully implement the responsibilities of the position overview listed above. Preferences: We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with students. Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning as evidenced by graduate-level work or an earned degree, as well as participation in professional organization conferences or seminars related to the content area. Prefer candidate with experience working with diverse learners. Salary : Group Unaffiliated 1 Position 1.0 FTE Director of Nutrition Services Rate of Pay $100,000-120,000/yr. Placement determined based on experience and qualifications. Benefits Medical, Dental, Sick Leave, 403(b), Life, LTD, FSA Other Salary pro-rated based on start date.
