Through relationship-building, collaboration, guidance, and proactive student support, the Student Services Coordinator will help cultivate an environment where students are able to flourish academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work compassionately and collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and administration to support positive student outcomes and maintain a learning environment conducive to the success of all students. The Student Services Coordinator will assist students in developing skills related to emotional regulation, peer relationships, personal responsibility, problem-solving, and resilience while helping staff identify appropriate supports and interventions for students experiencing challenges. The position will include student mentoring, classroom lectures, communication with families, behavioral intervention planning, and connecting families with outside resources when appropriate. Candidates should foster an atmosphere of trust, consistency, empathy, and accountability while supporting students in their growth both personally and in light of the school?s Catholic mission. Preferred Qualifications and Credentials: Candidates should possess or be pursuing a degree in social work, behavioral sciences, psychology, counseling, human services, education, or a related field. Minnesota licensure in a related area is preferred but not required. Experience working with children and families in educational or youth-centered settings. Knowledge of classroom and age appropriate content and structured unit and lesson planning Collaborative working ability with peers High sense of professionalism Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Student Services Coordinator supports the formation of the whole child?mind, body, and spirit?recognizing each student as uniquely created in the image and likeness of God. Student Support & Relationship Building Provide direct support to students through scheduled and informal one-on-one conversations focused on emotional regulation, decision-making, and personal responsibility Teach and model age-appropriate relationship-building skills, including communication, empathy, conflict resolution, and peer interaction Classroom-Based Support- regularly enter classrooms to support Tier 1 instruction and school-wide behavior expectations Collaborate with teachers to reinforce consistent routines, expectations, and proactive behavioral supports Support students in real time with regulation strategies that maintain the integrity of the learning environment Executive Functioning Support Provide instruction and coaching in executive functioning skills including organization, planning, task initiation, and self-monitoring Support students in developing independence and accountability for academic and behavioral expectations Behavioral & Emotional Intervention Facilitate restorative conversations and peer conflict resolution Support students through Tier 2 and Tier 3 behavioral interventions in collaboration with teachers and administration Assist students in developing self-regulation strategies aligned with school expectations Family Collaboration Communicate and collaborate with families regarding student needs, supports, and progress Partner with parents to develop consistent home-school strategies that support student success Systems Collaboration Work within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework to identify student needs and coordinate interventions Collaborate with administration, teachers, and external professionals to support student well-being and learning outcomes To apply, visit the St. Joseph''s School website. https://stjoesmhdschool.com/employment Confidentiality Notice: This e-mail message and any attachments are for the sole use of the intended recipient and may contain confidential and privileged information.
