Early Childhood Assistant Teacher Rochester Arts & Sciences Academy (RASA) Rochester Arts & Sciences Academy (RASA) is seeking a caring, energetic, and student-centered Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our growing school community for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, supports a play-based and nurturing learning environment, and works collaboratively with lead teachers and staff to help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our early childhood program focuses on building strong relationships, fostering independence, and creating joyful learning experiences for children. Responsibilities Support the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Assist with supervising students during classroom activities, recess, meals, rest time, and transitions Work with individual students and small groups to support learning and development Encourage positive social interactions and emotional growth Help prepare classroom materials, learning centers, and activities Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom Communicate professionally and positively with staff and families Support classroom management and behavior expectations Assist with toileting and other childcare needs as necessary Participate in school meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities Qualifications Experience working with young children preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Positive attitude, patience, and flexibility Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff Passion for working with preschool and early childhood students Preferred Qualities Warm, nurturing, and dependable Collaborative team player Organized and proactive Energetic and engaging with young learners Ability to remain calm and positive in a busy classroom environment About RASA Rochester Arts & Sciences Academy is a private secular IB PYP school serving Preschool through 8th grade in Rochester, Minnesota.
