Norwood Young America, MN REPORTS TO: Director of Student Services and Building Principal COMPENSATION: Competitive compensation based on qualifications, experience, and employment or service arrangement DATE CLOSING: Until Filled Central Public Schools is seeking a qualified Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide remote speech and language services to students from approximately January through May 2027. We are seeking an SLP who can provide high-quality virtual services while functioning as an active and collaborative member of our special education team. The successful candidate will establish strong relationships with students and staff, communicate consistently, and provide reliable services aligned with student IEPs. Position Responsibilities The Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist will: Provide synchronous virtual speech and language services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide individual and small-group therapy through an appropriate secure virtual platform. Assess and evaluate students'' speech, language, and communication needs using appropriate virtual assessment practices when applicable. Develop and maintain IEP goals, objectives, service recommendations, and progress-monitoring systems. Collect and analyze data to document student progress and determine the effectiveness of interventions. Complete progress reports, evaluations, IEP documentation, and other required special education due process within established timelines. Participate virtually in IEP meetings, evaluation meetings, staff meetings, and other student support meetings as required. Collaborate regularly with teachers, special education staff, paraprofessionals, administrators, families, and other related service providers. Provide clear direction and consultation to on-site staff who may assist students during virtual sessions. Maintain consistent communication regarding scheduling, student attendance, missed sessions, make-up services, and student progress. Maintain student confidentiality and comply with FERPA, district requirements, and applicable state and federal special education requirements. Maintain a professional remote work environment with reliable internet, appropriate technology, and the ability to provide uninterrupted student services. Qualifications Required: Appropriate Minnesota licensure to provide Speech-Language Pathologist services to students in a Minnesota public school setting. Ability to provide effective speech and language services in a virtual environment. Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, evaluation, and special education due process. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with an on-site educational team while working remotely. Reliable technology and internet connectivity sufficient to provide consistent virtual services. Preferred: Previous school-based Speech-Language Pathologist experience. Previous experience providing teletherapy or virtual speech and language services. Experience working with students across multiple grade levels and with a range of communication needs. Experience completing school-based evaluations and special education due-process documentation remotely. Familiarity with technology and digital resources used to deliver engaging virtual speech and language services.
