Norwood Young America, MN REPORTS TO: Director of Student Services and Building Principal SALARY: Based on level of education and full years of licensed experience BENEFITS: Available in accordance with the applicable master agreement DATE CLOSING: Until Filled Central Public Schools is seeking a student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve in a full-time, long-term substitute position from approximately January through May 2027. This position provides an opportunity to join a collaborative special education and student services team and provide direct speech and language services to students in a supportive school environment. If you have questions regarding a job posting, contact Becca Braun, Director of Student Services, at bbraun@isd108.org or 952-467-7119 Position Responsibilities The Speech-Language Pathologist will: Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Assess and evaluate students'' communication skills and needs. Develop appropriate goals, objectives, interventions, and service recommendations. Monitor student progress and adjust services based on student needs and data. Complete required special education documentation, progress reports, evaluations, and other due-process responsibilities. Participate in IEP meetings, evaluation meetings, and other student support meetings. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, paraprofessionals, administrators, families, and other service providers. Provide consultation and strategies to staff and families to support students'' communication skills across school environments. Maintain accurate student records and comply with district, state, and federal special education requirements. Support a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment. Perform other duties consistent with the role of a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. Qualifications Required: Appropriate Minnesota licensure to provide Speech-Language Pathologist services in a public school setting. Ability to provide speech and language services and fulfill special education due-process responsibilities. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Preferred: Previous experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting. Experience developing and implementing IEPs. Experience working with students with a wide range of communication needs. Knowledge of special education evaluation, eligibility, progress monitoring, and due-process requirements. Ability to develop positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Why Central Public Schools?
