SUBSTITUTE TEACHER At Groves, we build confidence, success, and purpose through transformative learning experiences. We are seeking Substitute Teachers to provide instruction for students with learning, attention and emotional disorders. What you will be doing: * Manage students in classrooms when teacher is absent. * Follow prepared lesson plans and supervise learning activities in the classroom * Work with students in study skills, math, reading and writing classes. The qualifications that are needed: * BA/BS degree; teacher licensure preferred * Experience teaching in the classroom * Experience working with learning and attention disorders a plus; special education background helpful. * Experience with Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Language® instruction, and/or Kansas Writing Strategies instruction a plus Groves Academy is a non-profit organization that transforms lives through education.
