We will start our founding year with 90 5th graders and grow one year at a time until we reach our full capacity as a 5-8 school. HCP-N is currently seeking a hard-working, passionate, and goal-oriented educator to join our team as a Founding English / Humanities Teacher for immediate need. JOB DESCRIPTION: HCP-N teachers are charged with providing a community oriented, rigorous, fast-paced, and inspiring learning environment for all students. Our founding English / Humanities teacher would be responsible for planning, teaching, assessing, and collaborating on a combined course of English and Social Studies (Humanities). Every HCP-N teacher is also a Crew Leader. This person serves as an advisor to 15-20 students to support them to achieve our graduate aims related to habits of scholarship, habits of mind, and habits of work. Crew leaders are also the primary point of contact for families. Additionally, HCP-N teachers are also founders of the school. Along with the administration, they will lay the strong foundation upon which HCP-N will stand for years to come.
