Assistant Director of Special Education/ Supervisor: The Bemidji Regional Interdistrict Council, a large special education services cooperative serving 11 member Districts in North Central Minnesota, has an opening for a full-time Assistant Director of Special Education or Special Education Supervisor. Assignment: Full-time administrative position. Responsible for special education program supervision, consultation and coordination including the supervision and evaluation of staff. Estimated start date for this position is July 1, 2019. Qualifications: Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in special education. Demonstrated working knowledge of special education programs, service delivery and State and Federal special education law. Position demands strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, demonstrated knowledge of formal dispute resolution procedures and current IEP/IFSP Due Process procedures. Extensive daily travel to member Districts. Administrative offices located in Bemidji, Minnesota. Education: Educational Specialist Degree or successful completion in an approved Educational Administration program leading to Administrative licensure. Licensure: Preference will be given to Director of Special Education licensure. Reports To: The Assistant Director of Special Education or Supervisor reports directly to the Executive Director. Compensation: Current salary starting range at 99,272.00 &#8211; $105,221.00, dependent on experience, for a 205 day contract.
