(2019-20 Salary) QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school diploma or GED required. 2. Possesses a MN Dept. of Labor 2nd Class Boiler License, with the ability to obtain 1st Class License within three years. 4. Valid MN driver&#8217;s license. 5. Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force. 6. Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in building and boiler maintenance, building automation systems, and energy management systems. 7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 8. Strong interpersonal skills. 9. Strong organizational skills. REPORTS TO: Operations Administration JOB GOALS: To maintain the physical school facility in a condition of operating excellence, operating efficiency, cleanliness, and safety so that full educational use of the facility may be made at all times PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Performs the essential functions of a custodian. 2. Supervises, trains, and inspects the work of the building custodial staff. 3. Schedules and monitors the hours worked by building custodial staff. 4. Completes annual performance evaluations for custodial staff. 5. Submits and completes online work requests in a timely and complete manner. 6. Assists in maintenance checks and service on building automation systems. 7. Oversees and confirms that all building mechanical systems are operational to maximum efficiency. 8. Conducts inspections of all building life safety systems, and repairs or requests outside services as needed. 9. Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, recycling, and hazardous waste. 10. Assists in coordinating activities with the custodial staff, facility scheduler, building and grounds and general building staff. 11. Moves furniture or equipment within buildings, as required, for various activities and as directed by the principal. 12. Maintains an inventory of work supplies and equipment. 13. Conducts snow removal activities, shoveling and snow blowing in coordination with the Outside Maintenance staff. 14. Present during and after school hours for authorized scheduled activities as needed. 15. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 16. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: As per employment agreement. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually.
