Middle School Math (Grades 7-8)/Intervention Teacher (Grades K-8), 1.0 FTE - Cedar Riverside Community School for the 2020-2021 School Year Start Date: August 20, 2020 Description: Cedar Riverside Community School is currently seeking a Middle School Math (Grades 7-8) and Math Intervention (Grades K-8) Teacher to provide a well-rounded academically focused program. The primary responsibilities include: * Teach daily math courses to students in grades 7-8; * Support the implementation and on-going use of a Multi-Tiered System of Support for students; * Through the use of data analysis - partner with classroom teachers, PLCs, and student assistance team members to identify students in need of Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 intervention; * Engage in goal-setting and development and implementation of individual learning plans for identified students; * Locate, implement, and teach individual and small group interventions; * Monitor and document the progress of identified students; and * Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: A valid Middle School Math license or licensure equivalent based upon background, experience, and/or expertise. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with diverse populations of students including immigrants, English learners, special education students, and gifted students. Experience/Training in Responsive Classroom, Response to Intervention (RtI), Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), National Urban Alliance, Restorative Practices, and/or personalized learning. About the School: Cedar Riverside Community School is a PreK-8 charter school located in the diverse Cedar-Riverside area of Minneapolis. It was established as one of the first charter schools in Minnesota in 1993 with the goal of meeting the unique needs of the youth in the neighborhood.
