SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER/CASE MANAGER JOB POSTING
KPCS is hiring a FT Special Education Teacher for the 2021-2022 school year.
Summary of duties:
● Provide academic instruction and social and transitions skills to students in Special Education
● Collaborate with general education teachers on modifications and accommodations
● Complete and document evaluations and IEPs
Follow due process and timelines prescribed by law
● Direct and instruct paraprofessionals to support student learning
● Coordinate testing and services with the school psychologist and special needs providers
● Actively engage in PLC, Child Study, and Professional Development
Compensation:
● Salary range $35-45k depending on experience and qualifications
● Benefits:

Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree and valid Special Education teaching license in Minnesota
● Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, and work ethic
● Desire to mentor, inspire and promote continuous growth in all students
● Flexibility to work in a non-traditional educational setting and a changing environment
● Ability to work independently, as well as participating in and leading teamwork
● Motivated and enterprising personality
● Comfortable using technology and familiar with Google Apps for Education
● Fluent in English
Preferred Background:
● Experience with online learning and/or flipped classroom
● Experience in non-traditional educational settings
● Good classroom management skills
