Job Summary: The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental job duties: * Implement the building guidance and counseling plan according to district program objectives and priorities. * Teach and coordinate the delivery of the guidance curriculum. * Coordinate registration and orientation for students in Grades 6-12. * Advocate for the individual student in terms of career education. * Participate in planning and teaching of career education. * Counsel students individually and in small groups about personal concerns. * Refer students/parent to appropriate specialists, special programs and/or community agencies. * Consult with teachers, staff, and parents regarding needs of individual students. * Participate in, coordinate, or conduct activities that contribute to the effective operation of the school. Qualifications: Valid Minnesota teaching license in appropriate field.
