Assume assigned administrative duties and responsibilities in the absence of the Principal. 2. Share with the principal the responsibility for protecting the health and welfare of students. 3. Help oversee all matters of student attendance. 4. Resolve discipline problems in a fair and just manner, consistent with established policies, and maintain records of any disciplinary action taken. 5. Confer with parents, teachers, counselors, and support service personnel regarding student matters of discipline and welfare, and assure that such communication is accurate, appropriate, timely and effective. 6. Assist in developing and administering practices dealing with campus control and security. 7. Assist with campus supervision during the day 8. Have general supervisory responsibility for student activities, athletic events, programs or student orientation and similar activities. 9. Assist in the interpretation of district programs, policies and procedures to students, parents, staff and community. 10. Assist in the development of student handbooks, calendar, schedules, bulletins, and the like. 11. Will attend appropriate meetings and be a part of teams regarding student growth and success (IEP,504, MTSS, parent meetings, etc.) 12. Work with other government agencies (truancy, CPS, Sheriff&#8217;s Dept., etc.) 13. Has knowledge and understanding of curriculum design, implementation, evaluation and refinement, principles of effective instruction and measurement, evaluation and assessment strategies. 14. Perform those duties and tasks as directed by the superintendent/principal.
