Job Summary The Minnesota Department of Corrections has an opening for a Floorcovering Instructor at our Faribault facility! This position will provide a quality Career Technical program to offender students while ensuring safety and security for all staff and offenders and effective management of all resources. The position is responsible for the implementation of the course content and enrolling of offender students; assessment and grading; management of budget, supplies, and equipment for assigned work area; and all documentation and reporting requirements. They will also develop and deliver curriculum based on industry standards, and integrate methods of instruction &#8211; to include whole class, small group, and individual instruction &#8211; to serve all types of learners and learning styles. To assess, monitor and record student progress and to direct teaching assistants, community volunteers and resident academic tutors to promote effective learning. This position will have direct contact with incarcerated students.
