Job Title: High School Paraprofessional - Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) Classroom (Setting 3)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support students with Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) in a Setting 3 classroom. The ideal candidate will work closely with 9-12 grade students,teachers, and other support staff to provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that fosters emotional regulation, academic success, and social growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Student Support: Assist students in managing emotions and behaviors, using positive behavior interventions and de-escalation techniques. Provide direct support to students in academic, social, and emotional areas as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
* Behavioral Interventions: Implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and document progress. Maintain a calm and therapeutic demeanor during crisis situations, following established protocols.
* Instructional Assistance: Support the lead teacher in delivering academic content by adapting materials, supervising group work, and offering one-on-one instruction as needed.
* Data Collection: Accurately collect and record data related to student behavior, progress, and interventions, ensuring compliance with IEP goals and school policies.
* Team Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating regularly with teachers, specialists, about student progress and needs.
