Description:
Early Childhood teacher opportunity at Harley Hopkins Family Center serving special education students ages Birth through 3 years of age and 3 years to 5 years of age. This is a year round position that works a total of 185 days within the dates needed listed above. Schedule is determined with the Assistant Director of Special Services who oversees Elementary and Early Childhood Special Education.
Qualifications:
Early Childhood Special Education license required. This position works with infants aged birth through 2 typically in a home setting. Person needs to have strong teaching and consultation skills in working with team members, staff in other settings, and with families. Person develops and implements IEP/IFSP goals and objectives within the home setting. Teacher has strong communication skills, strong passion and commitment to work with students from diverse cultures and economic backgrounds. Teacher has strong assessment skills in determining eligibility for ECSE services and for ongoing assessments of student progress. Teacher has a data collection system for tracking student progress. Teacher has an understanding of service coordination with other service providers and is knowledgeable about community resources to support families and students.
