Experience with work in administration, teaching, behavioral supports, social-emotional supports, student discipline, and problem solving experience in the educational environment is preferred. This position is approximately 210 days per school year. Job Summary: The Assistant Principal will enhance, coordinate and oversee Rush City School District&#8217;s MTSS framework and implementation of data collection and analysis, making decisions to allocate necessary supports and implement/oversee changes accordingly, and working with the community, staff and students to ensure fidelity of overall programming. This includes but is not limited to coaching and supporting staff in best practices in all tiers of MTSS implementation for all academic, behavioral, and social-emotional practices. The Assistant Principal will also be responsible for training and evaluation of district staff as directed, developing and implementing programs or initiatives necessary to support the district's strategic roadmap. Essential Duties: * Ensuring the District&#8217;s Multi-Tiered System of Support is implemented with fidelity at all levels * Develop training programs and provide ongoing coaching for leadership teams, staff, and teachers on the MTSS framework and research-based practices for tiered intervention * Implement an MTSS intervention management system and partner with school sites to ensure effective data collection, data analysis, and program evaluation and efficacy. * Partner with community organizations, government agencies, out-of-school programs, and families to ensure availability of resources for school sites. * Utilize continuous improvement and implementation science to improve MTSS programming and student outcomes. * Coordinate and attend all MTSS meetings * Oversee MTSS budget and complete all necessary state reporting * Increase collaboration among MTSS stakeholders including parents * Oversee ongoing Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports programming * Develop and train staff in academic, social-emotional, and behavioral interventions to support high-quality instruction for all students * Lead professional development and support staff with multiple measurement tools for various levels of assessment; including adaptive and curriculum-based measurementAssist with professional development and evaluation of District employees as directed * TDE - observations, modeling, coaching, and general support * Develop and lead paraprofessional PD, evaluation, assignment/work direction * Lead the development and implementation of a robust and effective system of restorative practices. Ensure fidelity of implementation, monitor data, and evaluate the effectiveness of the program. * Lead and serve as a liaison between the District, County, and SCRED staff regarding attendance and truancy protocols and interventions * Assist with supervision of students during non-academic education activities * Assist with professional development and evaluation of District employees as directed * Lead and promote talent development and advanced learner education, current educational research, instructional strategies, and differentiation of curriculum and instruction. * Promote a passion for student achievement, the conviction that all students will learn, and a drive to accelerate learning in an effort to eliminate achievement gaps between student groups * Positively motivate staff and cultivate change when necessary * Create, document, and implement professional development and evaluation processes for support staff, specifically paraprofessionals and program coordinators * Lead executive vision around summer programming and serve as district leader of summer programming * Collaborate with Special Education leaders and other principals to effectively schedule paraprofessional services in accordance with individual student needs. * Serve on various district and building committees including but not limited to: District Leadership Team, District and Building MTSS Teams, District and Building PBIS Teams, American Indian Parent Advisory Council, School Board Advisory Committee, Admin Team, Individual Education Plan teams, Problem Solving Teams, and Student Support Teams * Lead/assist special projects, grants, and pilot programs as assigned * Other duties as assigned Supervisor: Building Principal(s) Salary: Minimum starting salary is $75,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Rush City Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal of MTSS and Instruction to work with students in preschool through grade 12. Essential Duties:

  • Implement an MTSS intervention management system and partner with school sites to ensure effective data collection, data analysis, and program evaluation and efficacy.
