Our English department plays a vital role in preparing students for success in college, careers, and beyond by developing their communication skills, literary analysis, and appreciation of diverse perspectives. ________________________________ Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Long-Term Substitute High School English Teacher to join our team beginning March 1 through the end of the school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality instruction, maintaining classroom continuity, and supporting the success of all students during this transition period. ________________________________ Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school&#8217;s English curriculum. * Foster a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth. * Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback. * Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. * Manage classroom behavior to maintain a safe and productive learning environment. * Collaborate with department colleagues and school staff as needed. * Implement and uphold school policies and procedures. ________________________________ Qualifications: * A valid teaching license or substitute teaching certification (required). * Bachelor&#8217;s degree in English, Education, or a related field (preferred). * Previous teaching experience at the high school level (preferred). * Strong classroom management and communication skills. * Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and student needs. ________________________________ Compensation: Compensation will be based on the school district&#8217;s substitute pay scale. $210 per day.
