The Walker Hackensack Akeley School District has an opening for a Maintenance Custodian. 

Duties:

• Assists in the maintenance of all building and grounds
• Sets up for sporting events, interior and exterior
• Performs preventive maintenance of equipment and hardware
• Provides a safe, clean, attractive school for students, staff and public
• Set up for sporting events and other events as needed
• Cleaning, stripping, sealing, waxing floors and entire facility
• Performs other related duties as assigned and required

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Boilers license or the ability to obtain one
• 3 years working experience on low pressure boilers and heating systems preferred
• Trouble shooting and preventive maintenance skills
• Position involves lifting, pulling, stooping, crawling, mechanical aptitude

Hourly Salary:  AFSCME Local Union #2195 scale $23.50-26.50/hr plus fringe benefits
