Departmental Specialist, Counselling- Classification B
Location: Edina High School | Status: Non-Exempt | Schedule: 40 Hours/Week (M–F), 260 days per year
Position Summary:
A Departmental Specialist, Classification B, provides support to the Counselling department by assisting administrators in performance of their duties, answering inquiries, and completing general departmental office duties.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must have the ability to use Microsoft Office products.
- Interest in working in a school district environment.
- Knowledge of district and school policies and procedures.
- Detail-oriented with proven ability to be consistently accurate.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, employees, and visitors.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with employees.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: The wage for this position ranges from $25.09 to $32.52 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Most candidates will start at the entry-level rate of $25.09 per hour. However, experienced candidates with prior work experience in a related field may be eligible for a starting rate of up to $29.62 per hour. These decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis, in consideration of the individual''s experience and the school district''s budget.
