Physical Education/Health Teacher 2026?2027 School Year Position: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Physical Education/Health Teacher The District is seeking an enthusiastic, student-centered Physical Education and Health Teacher to inspire students to develop lifelong healthy habits, physical fitness, and personal wellness. The successful candidate will provide engaging, standards-based instruction in physical education and health while fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Qualifications and Skills: Valid teaching license in Special Education (or eligibility for licensure). Knowledge of special education law, IEP development, and evidence-based instructional practices. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Commitment to building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Minnesota Academic Standards. Teach movement skills, physical fitness, nutrition, mental health, personal safety, substance abuse prevention, and healthy decision-making. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs. Assess student learning and maintain accurate records. Create and maintain a safe learning environment in gymnasiums, classrooms, and outdoor facilities. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, special education staff, and administrators. Participate in professional learning, staff meetings, and district initiatives. Supervise students during instructional activities and assigned duties. Join our Team!
