Start Your Online Application Now Date Closing: Open Until Filled Position Overview Up North Learning Center is seeking dedicated and compassionate Behavior Interventionists to join our Setting IV program. Our separate-site school provides specialized educational services for students placed by their resident school districts. The Behavior Interventionist supports students with social, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs in a structured and trauma-responsive learning environment. Students served in our program are primarily identified with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) in grades K?12. This position works closely with licensed staff to support student success through positive behavior interventions, instructional support, and relationship-based practices that foster student growth and independence. Essential Responsibilities Support implementation of student behavior intervention plans and individualized programming Assist licensed staff with classroom instruction and student supervision Provide positive behavioral, social-emotional, and academic support throughout the school day Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment Collect and maintain accurate behavioral and instructional data using the PTS data tracking system and anecdotal documentation Assist students with staying engaged, on task, and successful in classroom activities Support implementation of instructional accommodations and modifications outlined in student IEPs Utilize de-escalation and trauma-responsive strategies to support student regulation and success Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and support staff to meet student needs Participate physically with students in activities and interventions as needed Identify potential behavioral concerns and respond appropriately using approved intervention strategies Maintain confidentiality and professional standards at all times Complete required certifications, including Handle with Care and Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI) Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 60 college credits or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment required Experience working with students with ASD, EBD, or other special education needs preferred Experience implementing behavior intervention strategies preferred Willingness to obtain and maintain certifications in Handle with Care and Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI) Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced educational setting Schedule & Compensation Hours per Day: 7 (8:00 am - 3:30 pm) Duty Days: 183 days per year (August?June) Salary: $23?$26 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience Why Join Up North Learning Center? Qualifications

Schedule & Compensation

  • Hours per Day: 7 (8:00 am - 3:30 pm)
