Experience and knowledge: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota (required) Public Health Nurse (PHN) certification (preferred) CPR and First Aid certification (required) Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or public health (preferred) Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered care Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to students, including administering medication and first aid. Develop and implement care plans for students with chronic health needs. Monitor immunization compliance and maintain accurate student health records. Collaborate with families, teachers, and staff to support student wellness and learning. Respond to health-related emergencies and maintain emergency medical protocols. Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and referrals as needed. Promote a healthy school environment through education and prevention programs. Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and school policies. Serve as a liaison between the school, parents, healthcare providers, and public health agencies.
